The leadership of the WPK regarding the Juche idea as its guideline is very important and essential, the statement said, noting that the Korean people have steadily increased the military might under the uplifted banner of the Juche idea.

The 65th birthday of the WPK offers the members of the Leadership of the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru an important opportunity to get a better understanding of the prominent guidance of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, it said, and went on:

We deeply realized that the Pyongyang Declaration, signed by the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru in 1992, is the joint action programme of the progressive parties struggling against the imperialists' moves and the historic declaration as it announced that only socialism makes it possible to build a peaceful, independent, happy, new world.

The Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru highly estimates the WPK's policy which has wisely led the DPRK to steadfastly defend socialism, the statement said, noting with high appreciation that Kim Il Sung realized the immortal historic cause by founding the WPK and Kim Jong Il has upheld the victorious banner of the Korean revolution for the happiness of the people.
