The organization accused the United States and the south Korean puppet authorities of staging joint anti-submarine exercises in waters of the West Sea of Korea with latest war equipment including destroyers, submarines, patrol craft and patrol planes involved.

They are contemplating staging carrier-based surprise assault drills in the West Sea of Korea in October by introducing "George Washington", the organization noted, adding that these ceaseless war maneuvers are obviously a threat to the DPRK.

It demanded the earliest possible halt to all the hostile actions including the joint anti-submarine exercises which throw hurdles in the way of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula and concluding a peace treaty.
