Kim Yong Chun, minister of the People's Armed Forces, addressed the meeting to be followed by general officers.

The speakers said that Kim Jong Il's reelection as general secretary of the WPK, organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people, marks a great political event in the efforts to further strengthen the WPK and bring earlier the final victory in the revolutionary cause of Juche.

Kim Jong Il has led the party and army to one victory after another for decades with his unique Songun politics, thus developing the WPK into an eternal glorious party of President Kim Il Sung and ushering in a great heyday of the country's prosperity and army building, they noted, adding that these undying feats would shine forever.

They called on all the servicepersons of the KPA to defend the Party Central Committee headed by Kim Jong Il with their lives, enshrining the fixed faith and will that eternal prosperity is in store for Kim Il Sung's Korea and ever-lasting happiness for the Korean people as they are led by Kim Jong Il.

Rosy is the future of Kim Il Sung's Korea thanks to the guidance of the ever-victorious WPK led by Kim Jong Il, the might of all the servicepersons and people single-mindedly united around the Party and the invincible revolutionary armed forces, they declared, calling for waging a more dynamic struggle to achieve the reunification of the country and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche.

A dancing party of servicepersons of the three services of the KPA took place there to congratulate Kim Jong Il on his reelection as general secretary of the WPK on the same day.
