Some time ago, General Secretary Kim Jong Il saw "Beautiful Sunflowers Always Looking Sunward", a collection of art pieces drawn by children of the kindergarten, and had it introduced by mass media.

Many years ago Kim Il Sin became a young poet after delighting President Kim Il Sung with her poems and Ri Sun Ae is now active in the Mansudae Art Troupe as concert master of the Samjiyon Band.

Ku Tae Hong and Kim Hyok Il showed Kim Jong Il their calligraphic and painting skills in January Juche 95 (2006) when they were six years old and Kim Jon Ri performed a flute solo well at a concert commemorating the Day of the Sun given in April 2010.

All of them are graduates of the kindergarten.

The kindergarten boasts of some talents in painting, calligraphy, composition and mathematics.

It has been visited by many people from China, Russia, Germany, UK and other countries and overseas Koreans to see the kindergarteners cultivating their abilities under the socialist free education system.

Kim Ok Son, 69-year-old superintendent who was awarded with the titles of Labor Hero and People's Teacher, told KCNA that she would as ever strive to improve the education of children and produce more wits.
