Bird Flu Vaccine Developed

| Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- Researchers of Pyongyang University of Medicine, attached to Kim Il Sung University, has recently developed a hemagglutinin vaccine against avian influenza virus H5N1. The vaccine, with no side effect on human body, was highly appreciated for its unique manufacturing method at the 11th National Exhibition of Inventions and New Technologies held some time ago. The clinical examination results show the anti-body positive rate of the vaccine is much higher than that recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). |
