Kim Jong Il has advanced the Korean revolution along the road of independence by further developing the Juche idea, carrying forward President Kim Il Sung's idea of attaching importance to the military affairs and establishing and systematizing the Songun idea in a comprehensive way, he said, and went on:

Such eye-opening events brought about by the Korean people as the successful launch of artificial satellites, underground nuclear blasts, development of the CNC technology, establishment of Juche-based iron, vinalon and fertilizer production processes and the reclamation of Taegyedo tideland clearly indicate that remaining faithful to his Songun-based guidance leads to the prosperity of the country and the nation, he added.

Kim Kum Suk, a peasant of the Poman Cooperative Farm in North Hwanghae Province, said that over the last decade when the Korean people had Kim Jong Il at the head of the WPK, they had felt that the invincibility of the Party and army and the dignity of Kim Il Sung's Korea were attributable to his great ideas and leadership.
