Angling competitions, folk amusement games, art performances, film shows, etc. for old persons took place on the bank of the River Taedong, in parks and recreation grounds, at theatres and cinemas in Pyongyang.

They were served food at catering establishments including Chongryu Restaurant and Pyongyang Noodle Restaurant. They spent pleasant time together with their grandsons and granddaughters at Kaeson Youth Park which presented spectacular night scenery.

Officials of Party and power organs, youth and students and children visited the families of war veterans, persons of distinguished services and centenarians and the homes for the aged to present them with souvenirs and sing songs, delighting the aged persons.

Cultural events also took place in various parts of the country Friday on the same occasion.
