The reporters and speakers noted that the reelection of Kim Jong Il to the top post of the WPK provided a sure guarantee for firmly defending and successfully accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche under the leadership of the WPK.

They noted that several decades during which Kim Jong Il has led the WPK and the revolution are a sacred period when he has strengthened the WPK into the party of President Kim Il Sung, ever-victorious revolutionary party of Juche type and performed undying exploits for the country and the people, the era and history with his outstanding idea and dynamic revolutionary practices.

They stressed the need to fully display the spirit of defending the leader with their lives and remain true to the Songun cause of the Party, cherishing the firm faith that the prosperity of Juche Korea and the eternal happiness of its people are guaranteed thanks to the great and brilliant commander of Songun.

Similar rallies were held in Kangwon and North Hamgyong Provinces.

Speakers there said that the reelection of Kim Jong Il as general secretary of the WPK was a manifestation of the absolute support and boundless reverence of all the army and people of Korea for him who performed immortal exploits for the country and the nation, the era and history with his dynamic revolutionary practices.
