It is a great event in accomplishing the Songun revolutionary cause that Kim Jong Il was reelected as general secretary of the WPK at a time when the DPRK, bulwark of Songun, is standing in acute confrontation with the U.S. imperialists and their allies, the statement noted, and continued:

Thanks to his leadership, the DPRK has firmly protected its dignity and the destiny of world socialism.

His reelection is an expression of boundless trust and intense loyalty of all the party members, the servicepersons and the people to him.

The DPRK is the only country in the world that is united as firm as a rock.

It is our firm belief that Kim Jong Il would accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche started by President Kim Il Sung by wisely leading the party, the army and the people in the general advance for achieving the final victory of socialism and the reunification of the country.

Only victory and glory are in store for the Korean people under the leadership of illustrious commander of Songun Kim Jong Il.
