Present at the rallies were officials of local party and power organs, economic organs and working people's organizations and people from all walks of life and youth and students.

Speakers at the rallies stressed that Kim Jong Il's reelection as general secretary of the WPK was the greatest honor and happiness of all the members of the WPK and other people and a great auspicious event of the country and the nation.

Kim Jong Il ensured that the party building and activities were conducted in line with the idea and intention of President Kim Il Sung, thus firmly defending the revolutionary character of the WPK, they said.

They emphasized that Kim Jong Il has perfectly accomplished the cause of perpetuating the memory of the leader for the first time in human history and performed the undying feats which will shine forever in the history of the country by leading the whole party and army and all the people.

They called upon all the people to turn out as one in the sacred struggle for building a thriving nation, remaining loyal to the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
