10-Day Film Shows Open

Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- A 10-day film show was opened with due ceremony at the People's Palace of Culture on Monday to celebrate the 65th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. To be screened during the period are documentary films on the Juche-oriented idea of party building of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and their immortal exploits. Also to be shown are "During the Unforgettable Days", "The County Party Chief Secretary", "The Bright Morning", "Guarantee" and other feature films. Present at the opening ceremony were officials of ministries and national institutions, creators and artistes in the field of film art and working people in the city of Pyongyang. Hong Kwang Sun, chairman of the State Film Commission, in his opening address referred to the immortal exploits the President performed by pioneering and leading the cause of building a revolutionary party of Juche to lay an eternal foundation of Songun Korea and the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il who developed the WPK into an invincible and iron-willed party with his extraordinary ideological and theoretical activities and dynamic revolutionary practices. After the ceremony the participants watched documentary film "We Will Follow You to the End of the Earth." Similar shows opened in provinces on the same day. |
