Implementation of October 4 Declaration Called for in S. Korea

Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification on Monday released a statement which calls for shattering the anti-reunification moves of the U.S. and the sycophantic and treacherous forces and opting for implementing the October 4 declaration on the occasion of the third anniversary of the publication of the declaration.

The statement said that the declaration is a programme for achieving the development of the inter-Korean relations, peace and prosperity common to the nation on the basis of the June 15 joint declaration.

But the demand of the nation for the implementation of the south-north joint declarations is being ruthlessly quelled by the U.S. and the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors, it noted.

It demanded the U.S. stop the moves against reunification and quit south Korea at once taking with it its aggression forces.

The Lee Myung Bak regime should stop pursuing moves against reunification and respect the October 4 declaration and halt the confrontation with fellow countrymen and fascist suppression, it demanded.

The statement called upon all the patriotic people to turn out and wage a more dynamic struggle to implement the inter-Korean joint declarations under the banner of "By Korean nation itself".
