In its 65-year-long history intertwined with severe trials, the WPK, with its roots struck deep in the masses, has performed undying feats in developing the revolution and achieving the independence of the popular masses, while enjoying their absolute support and trust and demonstrating its might as an invincible party.

The Korean people fully entrust their destiny and future to the WPK, calling it the mother, a result which has been brought by the party's popular politics.

From the outset, the WPK, prompted by the motto of believing the people as in heaven, has pursued politics based on love for and trust in the people.

Although the country was in hard time at the end of the last century, the WPK consistently pursued such popular policies as compulsory free education system and free medical care. When a power station project was launched, it took a measure to build dwelling houses for several thousand families to evacuate them from the construction site.

An era of prosperity has been opened up in the country under the wise leadership of the WPK, which spares nothing for the people's wellbeing with the improvement of their living as the supreme principle in its activities.

In Korea the WPK and the people are in perfect harmony, the party devotedly serving the people and the latter supporting the former with heroic merits.
