Kang Igori, chairman of the Russian Saratov Anti-Imperialist Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, noted in a report at the meeting that President Kim Il Sung advanced the proposal for founding the DFRK favored by all the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad, visualizing the future of the Korean Peninsula with clairvoyant insight, adding that this is an immortal feat to go down in the history of the reunification movement of the Korean nation.

The President had made all his efforts to hand a reunified country to posterity till the last moments of his life, he noted, and continued:

General Secretary Kim Jong Il formulated the Three Charters for National Reunification and made sure that the June 15 joint declaration was adopted and published to provide a sure guarantee for reunifying the country by federal formula in the spirit of "By Korean nation itself" and a landmark of national reunification.

The countries concerned including the U.S. should stop doing things obstructive to Korea's reunification, owning the due responsibility for the division of the Korean Peninsula that lasted for more than half a century, he said, urging them to fulfill their duties for lasting peace and stability of the peninsula.
