All the participants enthusiastically welcomed with highest glory and warmest thanks Kim Jong Il who has strengthened and developed the WPK into President Kim Il Sung's great party both in name and reality and a powerful guiding force for the Songun revolution tightly holding arms.

He waved back to the enthusiastically cheering participants, extending a warm salute to them.

He warmly congratulated the commanding officers of the units which staged the military parade and had a photo session with them.

He expressed expectation and conviction that all the commanding officers who took part in the parade would play a vanguard role in carrying out the Party's military line and thus increase the combat capability of the units and make a positive contribution to turning the socialist homeland into an impregnable fortress.
