In the speech he called on all the Korean people to turn out in the building of a new country with concerted efforts.

The Korean people were all excited over the liberation of the country from scores of years of the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule in August 1945.

Along with the excitement, their zeal for building a new society was running high as well. But they did not know what and how to do first.

Soon after returning to the homeland, the President advanced a policy of founding a party at an early date to guide the people of all social strata in a correct way to build new Korea.

He declared the founding of the party at the Inaugural Congress of the Central Organizing Committee of the Communist Party of North Korea held over October 10-13.

At the end of the congress, a decision on convening a mass meeting in welcome of the President was adopted with unanimity.

At the meeting held in Pyongyang on October 14, the President delivered a speech titled "Every Effort for the Building of a New, Democratic Korea".

He called upon the people with strength to give strength, those with knowledge to dedicate knowledge, those with money to donate money in order to make a tangible contribution to the state building. He also appealed to all people truly loving their country, their nation and democracy to unite closely and build an independent and sovereign democratic state.

Stormy cheers went up when he concluded the speech. His speech touched the Korean people to the heart.
