These works comprehensively deal with all theoretical and practical issues of protecting the peace and security of the world from aggression and war and achieving victory of the human cause of independence.

During his lifetime the President met many foreign leaders, high-ranking politicians and personages from all walks of life, giving them valuable instructions on defending the peace and security of the world and advancing the human cause of independence and leading all of them in the efforts to accomplish the cause of global independence.

Kim Jong Il who has strengthened and developed the WPK into a model of the world revolutionary parties set forth a peculiar political mode called Songun politics, the first of its kind in history, and saved the popular masses' cause of independence, the cause of socialism, from a crisis and brought about a bright prospect of the cause of global independence, weathering the stern tempest of history created by the imperialist forces with his outstanding Songun revolutionary leadership.
