Bulletins Issued to Mark Anniversary of WPK

Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Bulgaria and Ethiopia issued bulletins to commemorate the 65th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea. The Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association carried in the 5th issue of its bulletin several articles under such titles as "65th Anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea" and "News of the WPK Conference". In those articles the bulletin noted that President Kim Il Sung founded the WPK and developed it into a popular party serving the broad masses of working people and that leader Kim Jong Il has wisely led the WPK by inheriting the idea and cause of the President and, in particular, he was reelected general secretary of the WPK at its Conference. The Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea carried in the 16th issue of its bulletin an article titled "Emblem of the WPK". The article introduced in detail the emblem of the WPK, saying that 65 years of the WPK are unthinkable without the emblem clearly representing the characteristics of the Party. Meanwhile, the Far Eastern Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Songun Policy of Russia released the 2nd issue of its newspaper "Banner of Mt. Paektu" on the same occasion. The newspaper carried a portrait of Kim Il Sung and a picture of Kim Jong Il waving back to the cheering crowd and several articles introducing the WPK. Also printed in it were a photo of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu and photos of Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese heroine, and an article on her revolutionary activities. Under the headline of "Country of Hero" the paper carried photo-accompanied articles on the signal achievements made in the DPRK and the formation of the Blagobeshensk Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, Songun Idea of Russia. |
