A press release read out at the conference accused the Lee Myung Bak regime of resorting to the moves to conclude the FTA while talking about "expansion of economic territory."

It termed this an act of threatening the existence of the south Koreans and driving the sluggish south Korean economy into a serious bankruptcy.

The moves stepped up by the "government" to conclude the FTA in utter disregard of the will of the south Koreans would worsen the economic imbalance and cut down jobs, leading to an economic crisis and deteriorated people's living, it said, demanding the Lee regime stop at once all the negotiations for concluding the FTA under the signboard of "globalization."
