The book deals with the background against which the flower of the sun carrying the august name of a peerlessly great man came into being for the first time in human history and the fact that the immortal flower is now in full bloom worldwide thanks to the meticulous guidance and care shown by General Secretary Kim Jong Il and sincerity of the Korean people and the world progressives.

The book has titles "Love for Flower," "Birth of Kimilsungia," "Boundless Reverence," "On the Occasion of Day of Sun", "Flower of Sun in Full Bloom All over the World," etc. The book introduces Kimilsungia which came into being as a symbol of progressive mankind's boundless praise of President Kim Il Sung.

Recalling that Indonesian President Sukarno presented Kim Il Sung with newly bred beautiful and rare flower after naming it Kimilsungia during his visit to Indonesia in April Juche 54 (1965), the book says this is an indication of world prominent figures and other people's profound reverence for him.

The book also tells the touching story about how Kim Jong Il made sure that the flower, which could hardly be found due to the turbulent situation in Indonesia, was traced and struck its roots in the DPRK.

Also given in the book are data showing the profound reverence for the great man manifested by the world people in cultivating the flower of the sun.
