Present at an opening ceremony for the show were members of the Organizing Committee of the Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia Association in Guinea and the Guinea-Korea Friendship Association and masses.

The DPRK ambassador to Guinea and staff members of his embassy were present there on invitation.

Speeches were made there.

Abdoulaye Diallo, chairman of the above-said committee, said:

It is great pride and honor for the Guinean people to see the opening of the Kimilsungia show at a time when the Korean people are significantly celebrating the 65th birthday of the glorious WPK after reelecting General Secretary Kim Jong Il as its general secretary.

The immortal flower Kimilsungia that struck its roots in Guinea of Africa several years ago is now widely bred not only in Guinea but in its neighboring countries, arousing people's admiration.

This flower is now decorating our planet, enchanting people so greatly not simply because of its unusual beauty.

This should be interpreted as humankind's manifestation of its sincere reverence for Kim Il Sung lauded by the international community for ushering in the era of independence.

We will more successfully cultivate and propagate Kimilsungia so as to glorify the greatness of Kim Il Sung as the founder of socialist Korea and the sun of humankind and the immortal exploits he performed in the human cause of independence.
