Korean People's Just Cause Supported

| Pyongyang, October 19 (KCNA) -- Milton Burbano, chairman of the Ecuadorian national preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, made public a statement on Oct. 9 on the occasions of the 65th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 30th anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo. He, in the statement, recalled that Kim Il Sung founded the WPK on Oct. 10, 1945 and set forth a proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo on October 10, 1980. He warmly congratulated Gneral Secretary Kim Jong Il upon his reelection as general secretary of the WPK. He called upon the friendship and solidarity organizations in Latin America to intensify the activities supporting the just cause of the Korean people for building a great prosperous and powerful nation and achieving national reunification. |
