Upon receiving the news, General Secretary Kim Jong Il told officials concerned that there would be no mother doing nothing with her son placed in a critical condition in an alien land. He also said a plane should be sent to the country with doctors and medicines to save him at any cost.

Emergency measures had been instantly taken for the patient. He was carried to a modern hospital to undergo the second operation, but his condition failed to take a favorable turn.

The leader had an urgent telegram sent to the DPRK mission again for the third operation under the direction of able doctors in the homeland.

After the third operation the patient came to his senses and after a month he was able to go on foot.
