General Zou Yinhe, deputy director of the General Logistics Department of the CPLA, Lieut. General Wang Hongyao, deputy political commissar of the Shenyang Military Area of the CPLA, Lieut. General Feng Zhaoju, deputy commander of the Jinan Military Area of the CPLA, Maj. General Cao Yumin, deputy director of the General Office of the Central Military Commission, Maj. General Qian Lihua, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of National Defence of China, Maj. The delegation was greeted at the airport by Pak Jae Gyong, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, and officers of the Korean People's Army, Liu Hongcai, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, Sun Yanfeng, military, naval and air attache, and staff members of the Chinese embassy here.

Also present there were Vice Marshal of the Korean People's Army Ri Yong Ho, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea and chief of the General Staff of the KPA, KPA General Kim Jong Gak, member of the DPRK National Defence Commission and first vice director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, and Pak Jae Gyong, vice-minister of the People's Armed Forces, and general officers and other officers of the KPA.

Ri Yong Ho and Guo Boxiong reviewed the guard of honor of the KPA after the anthems of China and the DPRK were played.

Guo Boxiong received bouquets from a woman officer of the KPA and a woman of the Chinese embassy here.
