Guo Boxiong conveyed to Kim Jong Il kind regards from Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, president of the People's Republic of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission, and presented him with a gift prepared by the delegation.

Kim Jong Il expressed deep thanks for this and asked Guo Boxiong to convey his greetings to Hu Jintao and other leading officials of the party and government of China and the fraternal Chinese people on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the entry of the CPV into the Korean front.
