The Chinese Party, Government and people dispatched volunteers to Korea on October 25, Juche 39 (1950) to assist the Korean people in their righteous war against the imperialist aggression forces though they were at hard time. It was a token of their revolutionary obligation formed through an anti-imperialist joint struggle.

While in Korea the volunteers loved the Korean people, respected their customs and showed traits of true internationalists in battles and life.

They shared weal and woe with the Korean servicepersons, displaying unparalleled bravery and mass heroism in battles. Many of them became heroes and model fighters like Huang Jieguang.

The spirit of friendship and cooperation displayed by the peoples and armies of the two countries in the hard-fought war was proper to those rallied on the basis of comradely friendship. It takes an important place in the history of the DPRK-China friendship.
