The statement recalled that a warrant of arrest requested by the prosecution for Mun Kyong Hwan, chairman of the Executive Committee of the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration, on Oct. 21 was confirmed at the Seoul Northern District Court on the same day.

The statement accused the security authorities of taking such action on the charge of violating the "National Security Law" after failing to seek any clue during their search of his house in last June.

The authorities are intensifying as never before the crackdown upon the solidarity and those affiliated to it as evidenced by their groundless search of their houses without any convincing evidence, it noted, adding this is aimed at creating a terror-ridden atmosphere among the people and dampening the mounting anti-"government" spirit.

The June 15 Students Committee will no longer remain an onlooker to the authorities' crackdown prompted by a sinister intention, warns the statement.
