S. Korean Warmongers' Moves to Participate in MD Slammed

Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations and opposition parties in south Korea including the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification, the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, the Solidarity for Progress, the Preparatory Committee for Solidarity and Peace against War and the Democratic Labor Party at a press conference in front of the building of the puppet Ministry of Defense in Seoul on Oct. 25 lashed out at the warmongers for their reckless moves to participate in the missile defence system of the U.S.

Speakers at the press conference accused Minister of Defense Kim Thae Yong of officially clarifying the examination of the participation in the MD at the "National Assembly" on Oct. 22.

The MD is not a means for defence but for a preemptive nuclear attack upon the DPRK, they noted, adding that south Korea's involvement in it is a dangerous action as it increases the danger of war on the Korean Peninsula and obstructs the denuclearization of the peninsula and conclusion of a peace treaty.

Such sycophantic traitors as Lee Myung Bak who intends to allow the transfer of the U.S. forces Futenma base to south Korea and Kim Thae Yong who mulls examining its participation in the U.S. missile defence system should step down at once, the speakers demanded.

They declared that all the people of south Korea who desire the denuclearization of the peninsula, the conclusion of a peace treaty and the abrogation of the south Korea-U.S. alliance for war would wage dynamic actions to check the above-said moves of the authorities.
