S. Korean Ruling Forces' Confrontation Policy toward DPRK Bound to Go Bust
Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- The south Korean ruling forces' anachronistic and criminal "policy toward the DPRK" is bound to go bust as it stirs up and escalates distrust, confrontation and tension between the fellow countrymen to an extreme phase.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a signed article.

It goes on:

The said policy is a traitorous confrontation one running diametrically counter to the inter-Korean joint declarations and an anti-reunification one denying dialogue and cooperation between the north and the south.

The south Korean conservative group blustered that "it is impossible to improve the inter-Korean relations with chauvinist nationalism," malignantly slandering the idea of "By our nation itself", the basic idea of the north-south joint declaration, as "anachronistic one", a "narrow-minded nationalism" and the like. It completely blocked the cooperation undertakings, shouting itself hoarse that the south "would not be dragged by the north without principle" and "it would counter the north with principle even though it may spend five years without dialogues" and the like, pursuant to its criminal "policy towards the north".

The above-said policy is nothing but a policy of confrontation and war aimed to realize its criminal design for achieving the "unification of systems".

The "policy towards the north" pursued by the south Korean conservative authorities is, in essence, designed to realize their wild ambition for achieving "unification under liberal democracy."

Ever since its seizure of power the south Korean conservative group has persistently kicked up a racket for confrontation between systems, desperately denying the ideology and system of fellow countrymen in the north.

All the Koreans who ardently desire national reconciliation, unity and reunification and prosperity common to them will not allow the south Korean authorities to go on with the above-said policy hamstringing the efforts to improve the inter-Korean relations and threatening peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The south Korean authorities should roll back their policy for escalating the confrontation with the DPRK, the policy going against the demand of the era and desire of the fellow countrymen, and opt without delay to mend the inter-Korean relations if they do not want to face a severe judgment by history and the nation, concludes the article.
