Legends in Songun Era
|
|
Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- The Korean people, including the servicepersons, deeply revere General Secretary Kim Jong Il, eulogizing him as the savior of their destiny in many legends. The legends, spread among them through articles, poems and songs, are all based on what happened during Kim Jong Il's Songun leadership. When he was inspecting a military post on Mt. Taedok in the frontline area, dark clouds swept the clear sky all of a sudden, making it impossible for the enemy to see him from the opposite height. And when he was going to a naval unit by boat, a low tide turned into a high tide suddenly, helping the boat reach a wharf safely. Under his outstanding leadership, the country's farmland has been rezoned into large-sized, standardized fields and satellites were launched with success. Witnessing a stream of people carrying compost to fields in the face of a snowstorm, he, though very busy with his on-site guidance tour of the northern area, had his car driven slowly, deeply moved by them devotedly working for grain output in difficult conditions. Such facts have produced new legends in the Songun era. |
