They laid a floral basket before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the school and paid tribute to him.

Being briefed on the historical mementoes including a desk and a chair the President used in his schooldays, they went round the interior of the school preserved to its original state.

The premier wrote in the visitor's book that he hoped Jilin Yuwen Middle School associated with the revolutionary feats of the President and the revolutionary history of General Secretary Kim Jong Il would remain a model of the traditional DPRK-China friendship and train more talents needed for the modernization drive in China.

The premier and his party made the rounds of the Harbin Electrical Group, the Harbin Huijiang Foodstuff Company, the Changchun Rolling Stock Company, the Changchun Agricultural Expo, the Jilin Chemical Fiber Group, the Yaowang Shrine in the Beishan Park, which Kim Jong Il visited last August and various other places of Harbin City of Heilongjiang Province and Changchun and Jilin cities of Jilin Province.

Meanwhile, the premier separately met and had conversations in a friendly atmosphere with Ji Bingxuan, secretary of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, Wang Xiankui, acting governor of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government, Sun Zhengcai, secretary of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the CPC, Wang Yulin, governor of the Jilin Provincial People's Government, and other officials of the Harbin and Changchun city committees of the CPC and the city people's governments concerned.

Present there were the premier's party and Liu Hongcai, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.

During their stay the premier and his party were entertained to the banquets given in the joint name of the Heilongjiang and Jilin provincial committees of the CPC, the Harbin and Jilin city committees of the CPC and the people's governments concerned.
