　Kim Il Sung was a comrade dear to the Vietnamese people.

　He extended unstinted support and encouragement to our people during the Vietnam war.

　The Vietnamese people will always remember this.

　The friendly relations between the two countries have more dynamically developed since the historic Pyongyang meeting of Nong Duc Manh and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

　While staying in the DPRK we witnessed the achievements made by the Korean people in socialist construction.

　We are sure that the Korean people will surely open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
