Press Conferences at DPRK Missions

Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- Press conferences were held at the DPRK embassies in Beijing, Moscow and Cairo between November 3 and 5 as regards the publication of the first installment of a statement disclosing the truth behind the "Cheonan" case released by the inspection group of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Officials of the above-said embassies, addressing the press conferences, recalled that the U.S. imperialists and the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors whipped up an unprecedented whirlwind of confrontation with the DPRK, far-fetchedly linking the "Cheonan" case with the DPRK as soon as it took place, as if they had been waiting for it to happen. But the DPRK termed the groundless "story about the north's involvement in the case" a sheer fabrication and a conspiratorial farce from its very outset and clarified its will to probe the truth behind the case to the last internally and externally, they declared, and continued: Much afraid of the disclosure of the inside story about the case, the U.S. imperialists and the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors persistently objected to the field survey by the inspection group of the NDC of the DPRK and made haste to announce what they called "results of investigation" conducted by the "civilian-army joint investigation team." Recently they announced "a final report", a new fabrication, arousing criticism and ridicule among all people, staged joint naval exercises reminiscent of "demonstration of armed forces" in waters off the Korean Peninsula one after another and, at the same time, frantically kicked up a racket of international sanctions against the DPRK. The U.S. and the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors will never be able to escape a stern judgment by the times and history for orchestrating the hideous conspiratorial farce unprecedented in the history of the nation, they warned. Then, they answered questions raised by reporters. There was an interview with a reporter of Reuters at the DPRK permanent mission at the UN Secretariat and international organizations in Geneva on Nov. 5. |
