The U.S. has already buckled down to the establishment of missile defense system together with Japan, accelerating its field deployment. It is keen to push forward in real earnest the establishment of the tripartite MD involving the U.S., Japan and south Korea by drawing south Korea into it.

What the U.S. takes particular notice of here is south Korea. It is the U.S. strategic calculation that if it plugs into the MD south Korea which stands in acute military confrontation with the DPRK and forms part of the Korean Peninsula bordering China and Russia, in particular, it can contain its military rivals and realize its wild ambition to seize hegemony in the region.

If south Korea participates in the U.S. regional MD, the U.S.-Japan-south Korea tripartite MD will come into being in Northeast Asia. This may give catastrophic consequences to peace and security of Asia, to say nothing of those of the Korean Peninsula.

Northeast Asia is turning into the most dangerous missile hotspot in the world due to the U.S. reckless moves. The fictitious "threat" from the DPRK trumpeted about by the U.S. is sophism aimed at deploying much more armed forces for aggression in Northeast Asia and, at the same time, justifying its criminal MD moves. The U.S. attempt to hold sway over the world by dint of global missile network stretching from the American Continent to Asia and Europe under the pretext of the non-existent "threat" from someone will get it nowhere.

The U.S. reckless moves to dominate the world by force with the help of global missile network will only result in precipitating its self-destruction.
