The ceremony was participated in by officials of the Central Committee and the provincial branch office of the DPRK Red Cross Society and RC volunteers, including schoolchildren. Also present there were Ole Johan Hauge, head of the delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies working in the DPRK, and its members.

They, after being briefed on tree-planting methods, planted acacia, maple and other trees in a mountain.

The DPRK Red Cross Society conducts tree-planting campaigns in every spring and autumn as part of the activities for preventing disasters.
