Joint Concert Held on Chopin's 200th Birthday
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- A joint concert was held at the Music Hall of Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory on Thursday on the occasion of the 200th birth anniversary of Chopin.

Among the audience were Kung Sok Ung, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Han Chol, vice-minister of Culture, Hong Son Ok, vice-chairperson of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, officials concerned, teachers and students in the field of art education, Edward Pietrzyk, Polish ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of the Polish embassy here.

Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys and members of embassies of different countries here.

The concert was presented by musicians of the conservatory and Poland.

Put on the stage were a piano solo "Nocturne No. 14" and "Scherzo No. 2" and others, music pieces of Chopin, Polish musician, who made a contribution to the development of music of humankind.
