Various kinds of natural graphite materials and products developed in the country are much helpful towards the economic development.

Among them are a wide range of graphite blocks and brushes for rotating electric machines such as generator and motor, acid and alkali-proof graphite pipes for chemical industry, graphite materials with high resistance to thermal shock, friction and wear and adsorption blocks of artificial radioactive substances.

They, which satisfy all technical indices, including bulk, resistivity and bending strength, have been well accepted in economic sectors.

Such things as electroconductive and heat-resistant products were registered with the World Intellectual Property Organization in July Juche 96 (2007).

In 2005 the International Electrotechnical Commission adopted the standard of the DPRK's natural graphite products as the IEC's common standard --IEC/PAS 62072.
