S. Korea Urged to Stand for Improved Inter-Korean Relations
|
|
Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- Now all Koreans at home and abroad unanimously desire detente on the Korean Peninsula and the improved north-south relations, but the south Korean ruling forces are laying stumbling blocks in the way of dialogue and cooperation, putting up unreasonable preconditions. Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a signed article: What merits attention is that the south Korean authorities, crying out for the settlement of the "Cheonan" case and the nuclear issue, are absurdly asserting they cannot opt for dialogue and cooperation unless the above-said issues are solved. The south Korean authorities are using the warship case and the nuclear issue as a bargaining chip for stoking hostility toward fellow countrymen and escalating the racket of confrontation with the DPRK. The south Korean ruling forces' insistence that they cannot opt for dialogue and cooperation unless the nuclear issue is solved cannot be interpreted otherwise than a far-fetched assertion intended to hamstring any process to improve the inter-Korean relations. What should not be overlooked is that the south Korean authorities are vitiating the atmosphere of inter-Korean dialogue and cooperation by openly disclosing their sinister scenario for a preemptive attack upon the DPRK. The south Korean rulers would be well advised to face up to the trend of the times toward the improved inter-Korean relations and national reunification and behave themselves. They had better make a switchover in their treacherous and anti-reunification "policy toward the north". |
