Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea planted trees of various species at the Arboretum of the Kumsusan Memorial Palace on Wednesday. Officials of the Central Committee of the UAWK and its officials and members in different cities and counties of North and South Phyongan and Hwanghae provinces carried at least 5,800 trees of 15 species and more than 20,000 flower roots to the arboretum with them. Over the past years they have planted many trees there with the will to spruce up the sacred temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung lies in state. Those in several districts, including Mangyongdae District, and Kangdong County of Pyongyang, too, visited the arboretum, carrying over 300 trees of ten odd good species such as Korea larch and pine-nut tree. |
