Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- One day in January Juche 98 (2009), General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave field guidance to the pleasure ground in Mt. Ryongak. After making important remarks related to public entertainment in front of a monument to Mt. Ryongak, he suggested climbing Tae Peak on the mountain. More than 100 narrow and steep stairways should be ascended to reach the peak. Moreover, it was very cold and windy that day. The officials accompanying the leader tried to stop him from climbing the peak. But he said it was for building the pleasure ground in a better way and went up the stairways in the van. When reaching the peak, he commanded a bird's-eye view of Pyongyang and gave detailed ways to refurbish the pleasure ground. |
