Lao Political Figure Meets Delegation of Pyongyang City

| Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- Sisavath Keobounphanh, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and chairman of the C.C., the National Construction Front of Laos, on Wednesday met and had a talk with the delegation of Pyongyang City headed by Ryang Man Gil, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee and chairman of the DPRK-Laos Friendship Association, on a visit to his country. Sisavath Keobounphanh said that the friendly relations between the two countries, provided by President Kim Il Sung together with Kaysone Phomvihane, have a long tradition. It is the constant stand of the Lao party and government to develop the bilateral relations of friendship, he said, adding that Laos will strive to do so. He hoped that the Korean people would register greater success under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by Kim Jong Il. He declared that the Lao party, government and people would always support the Korean people's just cause for building a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of the country. |
