Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- The Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism brought out the 48th issue of its bulletin titled "The DPRK can do anything when it is determined," carrying a photo of General Secretary Kim Jong Il giving field guidance to the reclamation site of the Taegyedo Tideland. The bulletin said in an article that this year the DPRK announced the completion of the project for reclaiming the above-said tideland covering 8,800 hectares, adding that it was another event as it proved once again before the international community that the DPRK can surely do anything when it is determined. The path covered by the DPRK can be described as a history in which it has unconditionally put into practice whatever it once determined to do, the bulletin noted, and went on: This is evidenced by the fact that when everything in the northern half of Korea was reduced to debris after the war, the U.S. bragged it would not be able to stand on its own feet even in 100 years, but it completed its postwar rehabilitation in a short span of time, carried out the historic task for industrialization in a matter of 14 years and built the West Sea Barrage regarded as a world miracle in a matter of five years in the 1980s by damming off the rough sea extending 8 kilometers. The same can be said of the recently reclaimed Taegyedo Tideland. The completion of the project for reclaiming the above-said tideland in the DPRK in the wake of its development of the CNC technology of its own style, the perfection of the Juche iron production system and the successes made in mass-producing vinalon and fertilizers made the world keenly realize that the DPRK's determination to build a thriving nation in the near future is by no means an empty talk and it is being translated into a reality, stressed the bulletin. |
