People throughout the country have collected scrap iron amounting to tens of thousands of tons and sent them to metal factories in a recent month.

Pyongyang citizens transported several hundred tons of scrap iron to the Chollima Steel Complex with a hundred and several dozen trucks some time ago. Officials of ministries and national institutions, including the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Administration for Quality Management and the State Academy of Sciences, have not only sent large quantities of scrap iron to metal works but also helped them solve some problems arising in production.

South Phyongan, Jagang, North Hwanghae and other provinces are also doing a good job in assisting metal works.
