The Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory has increased the medical effect of toothpaste and turned out quality toilet soaps through a technological innovation movement.

The factory has also improved the quality of Pomhyanggi-trademarked cosmetics with such additives as Kaesong Koryo Insam (ginseng) and other medicinal herbs and is now buckling down to developing cosmetics such as dishcloth gourd lotion.

The Jangjasan Combined Foodstuff Factory in Jagang Province has produced foodstuffs preserved with soy and bean paste, with todok (Codonopsis lanceolata), broad bellflower, bracken and other edible herbs abundant in the locality.

Chonnae County, Kangwon Province, has put the main production processes of the soy and bean paste factory on the CNC basis and pushed ahead with the technological updating of the foodstuff factory and paper mill.

The foodstuff factory in Jongphyong County, South Hamgyong Province, has newly been equipped with processes of producing noodles, sweets, boiled foodstuffs, fries, millet jellies and vegetable pickles.

Quality textile goods and plastic daily necessities have been massproduced in Songchongang District, Hamhung City, South Hamgyong Province.
