The first leg of his guidance was the newly built hard glass shop at the Taean Friendship Glass Factory.

After being briefed on the new shop in front of a huge map showing its panoramic view, he went round processes for producing heat ray reflection glass and hard glass to learn in detail about its construction, technical equipment and production there.

Watching all kinds of glass products coming out in an endless stream from the work places furnished with ultra-modern machines, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the factory successfully built by itself the modern shop producing second-stage processing products requiring high technology in a short span of time and is mass-producing special glass and varieties of quality glass products.

He noted that the above-said shop was successfully built to meet the requirements of the IT era ranging from its designing to its construction and technical equipment, praising the factory for building another shining structure helpful to ushering in a new period of prosperity in the era of Songun by displaying indomitable mental power.

Looking at various kinds of glass products including glass for doors, vehicles and trains and glass furniture made with silver grey, silver, light brown and blue color heat ray reflection glass and hard glass produced at the shop, he was satisfied with their high quality.

He noted that this shop is a glass production centre with a very great prospect for production and profitability as it turns out special glass products for diverse uses with glass sheets mass-produced from quality sand found in abundance in the country.

He set forth important tasks which would serve as guidelines for managing and operating the shop.

Highly praising the workers of the factory for keeping the production going at a high rate, he stressed that to steadily boost the production by operating in full capacity the factory symbolic of the DPRK-China friendship is important for demonstrating the vitality of the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The next leg of his guidance was the Kangso Mineral Water Processing Factory.

After being briefed on the medicinal efficacy of Kangso mineral water and the history of the factory by its leading official, he walked round the fountain from which the mineral water gushes out and the mineral water processing shops to learn in detail about their technical equipment and production.

Watching the mineral water endlessly gush out, he said that the factory tells about the love shown by President Kim Il Sung for the people as it is associated with the immortal leadership feats he performed by working heart and soul for the happiness of the people all his life, he said, adding that the great loving care shown by the President for the people would always be remembered by them.

Very pleased to see the worksites kept neat and tidy where hygienic safety is fully ensured and packed mineral water churning out from the streamlined production line put on a CNC basis, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the officials and workers of the factory successfully built the factory equipped with ultra-modern facilities and are operating it well.

Noting that the factory has a very important duty and role to play in protecting and promoting the health of the people, he advanced the tasks to be carried out by it.

An important task facing the factory is to boost the mineral water production and, at the same time, put its quality on a higher level, he said, underlining the need to continue dynamically pushing forward the work to put the factory on a modern and scientific basis and let the units related to the factory including the Ministry of Public Health positively assist it and help satisfactorily settle the issue of packing materials.

He underlined the need to keep paying deep attention to creating hygienic and cultured environment as the factory handles drinking mineral water.

He expressed the expectation and conviction that the officials and workers of the factory would mass-produce famous mineral water good for the health of the people in the spirit of devoted service to them and supply greater quantities of mineral water to them.
