Floral Tribute Paid to Mao Anying
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the grave of Mao Anying in Hoechang County, South Phyongan Province, on Thursday on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Mao's death in action.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Vice Marshal of the Korean People's Army Kim Yong Chun, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and minister of the People's Armed Forces, and Choe Chang Sik, minister of Public Health and chairman of the C.C., the DPRK-China Friendship Association, officials of party and power bodies in South Phyongan Province and Hoechang County, officers and men of the KPA and working people in the county and Ambassador Liu Hongcai and staff members of the Chinese embassy here and members of the moviemaking team of Chinese serial TV drama "Mao Anying".

Placed before the grave were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces and the Central Broadcasting Committee of Korea, the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK and the South Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, the Hoechang County Committee of the WPK and the Hoechang County People's Committee and wreaths in the name of the Chinese embassy and the Chinese moviemaking team.

A wreath in the name of the moviemaking team was placed before the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Chinese People's Volunteers.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of Mao Anying and fighters of the CPV who fell while fighting heroically in the Korean War.

Then they visited the former Command of the CPV in Hoechang County.
