DPRK Significant Days Celebrated in Various Contries

Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- A seminar on General Secretary Kim Jong Il's work "On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction" was held in South Africa and a round-table talk and a show on the Korean film "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" in Russia on November 22 to mark the 19th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 93rd birth anniversary of anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk. Present at the events were personages of different circles and popular masses of those countries. Eddie Kekana, chairman of the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa, explained the main contents of Kim Jong Il's work, stressing that he is the only leader who gives importance to preserving the Juche character and national character of the revolution and construction. To preserve the Juche character and national character at present is a key to achieving prosperity and progress of each country and nation, he said, describing the work of Kim Jong Il as a political great program which the world progressives should regard as guidelines and textbook in building an independent state. The first vice-president of a company of the Russian Technical Glass Research Institute and other speakers praised the might of the DPRK's single-minded unity and the invincibility of the KPA and expressed belief that the army and people of the DPRK will win in the showdown with the U.S. imperialists under the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il. |
