The work published on Nov. 30, Juche 79 (1990) clarifies the principled requirements and ways for carrying forward and developing the brilliant tradition of Korean dancing art established in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle led by President Kim Il Sung.

Attending the meeting were officials concerned and creators, artistes, teachers and students in the field of dancing art.

Speakers said that the work is a library of Juche-oriented dancing art as it systematizes in an integral manner and comprehensively deals with the idea and theory of dancing art.

They stressed that the work gives comprehensive and perfect answers to all the theoretical and practical issues arising in creating the Korean-style dancing art ranging from the essence of dances and their origin and development to their creation, depiction and notation.

The speakers underlined the need for all the creators and artistes I the field of dance to deeply grasp Kim Jong Il's idea and theory of developing the Juche-oriented dancing art and bring about a new turn in the creation of dance pieces as required by the Songun era.
