Pyongyang, December 1 (KCNA) -- All the Koreans in the north and the south and overseas are called upon to put increased spurs to the grand march for patriotism to achieve national reunification as early as possible, holding higher the banner of the inter-Korean declarations which indicate the way of carving out the independent destiny of the nation, the way of achieving the great unity of the whole nation. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a signed article. Stressing the need to stage actions, regarding the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration as faith in reunification and patriotism, the article goes on: How to approach the inter-Korean declarations is a touchstone to draw a line between patriotism and treachery and between reunification and division. Whoever truly stands for national reunification should firmly uphold the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and make a courageous decision to turn out in actions to implement them. The movement for independent reunification should be let rage wherever Koreans live. Brisk joint actions of diverse forms and solidarity movements should be launched by organizations grouping people of various circles and in various fields including workers, farmers, youth and students in the north and the south and all-Korea reunification events should be held to make the joy over reunification sweep throughout the 3,000-ri land of Korea. Pro-reunification patriotic activities for implementing the inter-Korean declarations should be encouraged and strongly supported and all members of the nation should join in these actions. All the political parties, organizations and people from all walks of life in the south should single-mindedly unite in the actions for the independence and democracy of the society and national reunification and thus contribute to accomplishing the June 15 cause. |
