After sharing greetings with its officials, she was guided to an office room to acquaint herself with the streetcar operation in Pyongyang. She told the officials that though the company was faced with many problems, they could be solved by its effort. She then said the company should train drivers, repairmen and conductors by itself, upgrade their techniques and skill, increase the number of streetcars in operation, work out their operation schedule in a reasonable way and strictly establish discipline and order in the operation and management of the streetcars. Before leaving the company, she expressed her belief that they would make a good job of solving the traffic problem of the city, true to the popular policies of the government led by President Kim Il Sung. |
